I’m not going to add extra words and will just head straight to the point. I’ve been using pretty much a LOT of facial wash ever since we moved to the United States. It’s been a rough one though, I must say. I’ve used what celebrities and the TV advertisements have been talking about, I guess it didn’t really worked out of me. And when I say I’ve tried almost everything, I am serious about it. I know it probably affects my face to use different ones every now and then.
I’ve consulted a dermatologist one time, because of the breakouts I’ve been having. Every facial wash I used before didn’t really worked for me.
And about last month or two, I read about going natural for a skin care, so I tried looking for few yet affordable ones. And I stumbled upon Burt’s Bees.
I have started using these skin care for pretty much a month already and I’m really bad at making beauty reviews or post about it, but I would just like to document this for my further and future knowledge ~
My Skincare Routine ~
And like every one, I wake up in the morning and head out to take a warm bath and get ready for work. And every morning, I use the Burt’s Bees Pore Refining Scrub twice or thrice a week and sometimes the Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream. I sometimes leave the facial wash on my face for a minute or two, just so the solution will work on with my face. One thing I don’t like about these two cleansers is that they hurt in the eyes, but it sometimes irritates my eyes.
Next thing I do is use my Burt’s Bees Clarifying Toner – and leave it on my face for a minute or two. Honestly, I am deeply scared of using toner ever since I went to the dermatologist two or three years ago, he advised me to stop using cleansers with too much salicylic acid and that is one thing I check before purchasing any cleansers. I’ve used a cleanser with pretty much a 2% salicylic acid in their formula and I know that doesn’t change anything since this Burt’s Bees cleansers I use only have 1%.
Last thing on my Morning Routine is my Burt’s Bees Daily Moisturizing Cream for Sensitive Skin. I think one of the skin care essential I needed the most is a moisturizer. I don’t have to elaborate more what this can do, it basically moisturizes my face and keep it not that dry. Because I may have dry skin all the time, and during winter or colder weather, it hurts not to have your face moisturized.
And in addition, I bought Burt’s Bees Night Cream for Sensitive Skin and use it every other night because I sometimes forget to use it. And before I use this night cream, I pretty much do the same routine I did in the morning and ditch the moisturizer for this night cream.
All in all, I think it’s one of the skin care that I will probably use in the long run. Yes, I still get every now and then, but it’s not a lot like before. And I’m happy about the way I am using it and the slight results on my face. If you have any suggestions for a skin care, please share them on the comments below and I’d love to hear about it.
