Looking back, last year’s Thanksgiving post was about long distance relationship couples who have something to say and something that would like to thank about. And that same year, I have been thankful because of having a clean state heart and in fact a happy heart. It wasn’t the memories that hit me, instead the realizations I am having right now and in the past few days.
And this year, as I am writing and finishing this Thanksgiving post – I realized that I have a lot to be thankful for whether small or big things that had happened in my life in 2016.
First thing, I am thankful for Him – my Lord, for He bestowed all the strength I needed to start my year right. He watched over me, He gave me the strength when I am weak and He gave me new people to look forward to every day.
I am thankful for having a job. Last May, I applied for this job – I sent in my application and luckily the bosses are there and they interviewed me and after waiting for couple minutes, they congratulated me and hired me. In that instant I was so happy. I’ve been working in Dunkin’ Donuts for the past three years, let me tell you about having to wake up every 3 in the morning and that seriously sucks! I miss the customers, but I am happier with my job right now. Little by little, I am enjoying the job and the people I am working with.
I am thankful for having a healthy body. I was once confined because of dehydration and that is a week or two of being hired and working full time already. When the nurses checked on me, my EKG and blood works, I realized that I am not getting any younger and I should be taking care of my health more than anything else. I am thankful for the realizations I had and I am thankful that I am feeling great, most of the times.
Thankful for the blogging community I am in right now. I have been blogging for the past year, it all started when I had this long distance relationship and have gotten a chance to write what my heart wanted to write. And its surprisingly the best thing, I’ve never been so happy writing all the content I have and taking photographs is one thing I loved the most. So having this supportive blogging community is absolutely the best thing in my 2016.
I am thankful for the little travels I had over the year. To visiting Virginia and got to spend time with our relatives; and to my heart in New York.
I am thankful for friends who never gave up on me and my dramas in life.
These are few things in my list that I am most likely to be thankful of this year. I am happy and that what matters the most.
So, to my American readers (or anyone residing and celebrating Thanksgiving) Happy Thanksgiving! It’s your turn to share what are you most thankful for this year.
